This hidden, beautiful and peaceful gem displaying vibrant fall colors is in the outskirts of Acadia National Park, Maine. It is easily missed as it is off of a busy thoroughfare unless you are paying more attention to the scenery than the traffic. During traffic breaks, it became an incredibly peaceful scene.

A beautiful panorama of Yosemite Valley and the Merced River draped in fresh snow from last night's storm. Yosemite in a snowstorm will change your outlook on life and is something you won't soon forget. Most of the tourists flee the storm and much of the park becomes deserted and incredibly quiet. All you hear is the soft hush of snow hitting the ground, the occasional ice crashing after breaking away from an adjacent valley cliff. Sitting aside the Merced River you hear the quiet burbling of water from the Merced River. Just relax and soak in peaceful solitude.
